Third:
Development of the roads linking between Sabah Al-Ahmed road and the residential Khairan City:
The project is located in Al-Ahmedi governorate.
The project aims to rehabilitate existing roads and the construction of new roads, according to the designing standards
of highways, which will lead to improved traffic safety level and raise the level of service at various parts of the project
and through the adoption of top junctions at the entrances and exits of Sabah Al-Ahmad City (250 thousand people)
and Khairan City (600 thousand people), in addition to the residential Wafra City (50 thousand people).
Total roads length: 130km.
Total intersections: 17.
Designing speed: 80-120 km/hours.
The project is divided into three parts:
Part 1 :
Project: construction, completion and maintenance of roads, bridges, rain sewer, sanitary, and other services
for the roads linking between port of Al-Zour and Al-Wafra:
The project aims to improve and develop the current road "309" (Zour port/ Al-Wafra) starting from the road "40" at the
intersection of Al-Zour port until the end of the existing roundabout at Al-Wafra farms, as well as to improve and
develop the linking road between roads "306" (Mina Abdullah / Al-Wafra) and by "309" (Al-Zour port / Al-Wafra).
Total roads lengths: 37 km.
Total intersections: 6.
Part 2 :
Project: construction, completion and maintenance of roads, bridges, rain sewer, sanitary, and other services
for the roads linking between the port of Mina Abdulla and Al-Wafra:
The project aims to improve the current road “309” (Mina Abdulla/ Al-Wafra) from Industrial Al-Shaeba area to Al-
Wafra, starting from the current intersection at Al-Fahahel highway, and ending at the current roundabout at the current
new Kabd – Al-Wafra road.
Total roads lengths: 40 km.
Total intersections: 9.
Part 3 :
Project: construction, completion and maintenance of roads, bridges, rain sewer, sanitary, and other services
for the roads linking between Sabah Al-Ahmad City and Al-Khairan residential city:
It aims to the improvement of the linking roads between roads “309” and “306”, and between Sabah Al-Ahmad City and
Al-Khairan residential city.
Total roads lengths: 53 km.
Total intersections: 2 .
