Third:
Improving and developing Al-Bidea roundabout project :
The project situation until December 2014: Preparing for tender .
The project is located in Hawali Governorate
The project aims to rehabilitation of the roundabout area as follows:
Constructing a bridge of about 670 m long that connects Al-Taawin Street and Blajaat road above the current
roundabout with 2 lanes in each sides, in addition to safety lines on both sides
Transform the existing services (water - electricity - Telephones – irrigation - Water Treatment)
Creating a separating lane on the current roundabout for the comers from Fifth Ring road towards Al-Taawin Street
Increasing the number of the roundabout entrances’ intersections from Al-Taawin Street and Blajat Street from 2 lanes
to 3
Development of the existing water lines and replaces them with larger diameter lines to accommodate current and
future discharges.
Continue the creation of a sanitary line that serves the restaurants in Blajat Street and connect it to the current line of
Rumaithiya (Diameter 300 and an average depth of 11.5 meters using micro tunneling system)
Constructing services duct of 660m long in front of the Diplomatic Club and The Fishermen Diwaniya for electricity and
phone cables .
Fourth:
Development of Al-Nuwaiseb road project :
The project situation until December 2014: Preparing for tender .
The project is located in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, and extends from intersection No. 19 at the confluence of Fahaheel
road (30) by Riyadh road (40) to the border area with Saudi Arabia.
The project is part of a continuing policy of the Ministry of Public Works to improve the strategic road network of the
State of Kuwait, taking into account the expected future traffic and improve traffic safety level on the highways.
Works scope:
Developing 37km of the roads by 6 lanes.
Constructing 9 multi-level intersections.
Constructing 2-lanes wrapping loft bridges.
All the bridges along the main track and the slopes include additional lane each way, allowing the possibility of future
development of the road.
Constructing 4 camels-crossing bridges - Cosmetic plantations - Transferring the services including rainwater drainage.
