Kuwait Sport Club For The Deaf

His highness the Amir Sheikh/ Subah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Subah greatly cares about all categories of those with disabilities

and special needs, as he considers them an important part of the society, he makes sure to provide them with everything they

need which in return reflects their interaction within the society. Their needs are also comes in the government’s priorities, and

because of that, the Ministry of Public Works has accomplished the “Kuwaiti Sports Club for the Deaf” project, which has

inaugurated and handed over to the beneficiary (The Public Authority for Youth and Sports) in August 16, 2011.

The project aims to improve the infrastructure of the youth and sports facilities in the State of Kuwait by providing the

necessary facilities to establish various sports leagues that contribute to national and international Kuwaiti sports for the special

needs.

The project is located in Al-Asima governorate, Sulaibikhat. Its location is characterized by its calm environment and is

relatively far from the city’s center to provide the perfect environment needed for the privacy of the club and the ease of access

to it through Jamal AbdulNasser street and Al-Jahra Highway. The club contains several sports and entertainment facilities and

has a total land area of 36,000 m².

Project’s components:

- Sports activity building with a land area of 7613 m², which consists of two main floors:

The basement floor which contains water tanks, maintenance rooms, services, main adapters rooms, high and low pressure

rooms, and a shelter.

The ground floor dedicated for the main activities. It consists of a swimming pool (1225 meters), covered playgrounds, two

squash fields, and two halls for games and exercises.

- The main building with a land area of 5150 m², which consists of three floors:

The ground floor consists of a multipurpose hall, Diwaniya, chapel, cafeteria, and games hall.

The first floor includes the training halls, handicrafts, and summer rooms, while the second floor includes the main offices of the

project designed to serve the pioneers of the club. The third floor includes the department’s offices.

- The stadium’s building, which contains a football field, an athletics track with six lanes, seats that accommodate 1000

spectators, and a VIP platform.

- The hobbies building (1,300 m²).

- Open playgrounds (23,300 m²).

- Activities complex (7613 m²).

- Expo building (590 m²).

- Workers housing building (200 m²).

- Administration building (985 m² ).

- Parking lots and a chapel that accommodates up to 150 people, and a multipurpose hall.
