The Most Important Future Road Projects:
To build up and provide maintenance for the Express Ring Road (6.5 )
Executive Situation: The contract has been signed in October 2016 .
This project is located in the Governorate of Farwaniya and serves the area of Guleb Al Shoyokh, the area of Abdullah Al Mubarak, Sabah Al
Salem University at A Shedadiya area in addition to serving the development of Kuwait Airport ( Passenger Building 2 Project. )
This part aims at switching part of the sixth ring road into 6.5 new road in order to serve the anticipated movement of traffic coming from
Sobah Al Salem University dorm at Al Shedadiya area and the anticipated movement of traffic coming from Kuwait International Airport after
developing it through direct entrances to guarantee free movement of traffic at those areas.
The project begins from the point of intersection with the Seventh Ring road (south of Adula Al Mubarak area) and ends at point of
intersection with King Faisal Road (50). The project includes overhauling of the existing road (602) in addition to building up an intersection
with the sixth Ring road to secure a direct entrance to the University of Sobah Al Salem University at Al Shedadiya area.
• The total length of the project : 18.5 km, 3 Lanes on the least at every direction .
• Number of intersections: 8
• Number Pedestrians bridges: 9.
Development of Nuwaisib Road:
Executive Situation: The tenders for performing this part has been offered .
This project is a part of the ongoing policies of the Ministry of Public Works to improve the Network of Strategic Roads in the State of
Kuwait taking into consideration the anticipated movement of traffic in the future and the improvement of safety of traffic on the express
roads.
The project serves the new south areas and huge urban expansion that is witnessed in this region. It is located in the Al Ahmadi governorate
and begins from the intersection of Fahaheel Express Road (30) with the Custody of the two holy mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul-Aziz road
(40) reaching to the borders with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia .
The project consists of :
• Development of 37 km of roads with 6 lanes .
• Building up 9 intersections with multiple floors .
• building up an Upper Detour bridge consisting of two lanes .
• All Bridges on the main roadway and the slopes includes an additional lane at every direction to allow for the development of the road in
the future.
• To build up 4 crossing bridges for camels .
• Landscaping and Facilities for rain water drainage.
Development of Cairo street:

The project aims at the development of the Road Network and the improvement of the anticipated traffic movement through increasing
the capacity of roads and intersections to accommodate traffic and maintain new linking routes between all areas and the improvement of the
safety levels of traffic .
This project consists of :
• Development of 7 km of roads .
• Building up of 2.3 km of underground tunnels along Cairo street .
• Building up 5 bridges at ground level above the tunnels .
• Building up of an upper bridge detour.
• Building up of 7 pedestrian bridges .
• Building up of 5 Services bridges .
• Transformation and protection of services including rain water drainage .
