Location Supplies :
Box girders of casual launch of the bridge will be manufactured at the location of the project in Al-Sabiya. For this
purpose, one of the best precast concrete yard is established at a global level. The precast concrete yard is established
In order to manufacture box girders in a length of (40) m and (60) m, whereas the space of the casting yard is
(268,800) cubic meters.
A floating crane will be used, its capacity is about (2,200) tons and its weight is about (80,000) tons. It is made
especially to compose(40) m and (60) m long box girders with. The space of the casting yard is (268,800) cubic
meters. A Floating Crane of a capacity of ( 2,200) tons and weight of (8,000) tons. It is made especially to compose
(60) m box girders with giant ships that handle transferring the burial generator to the location of the artificial islands. A
horizontal launching girder will be used in this operation. Its capacity is about (1,800) tons and its weight is (2,000)
tons.
The number of the marine pieces that are used for the building process is approximately (80) pieces.
Stations of Manufacturing Concrete:
A temporary Iron bridge is built in Shuwaikh area (4) km long and the total weight is (14) thousand tons. It is built for the
purpose of successful termination of this major project.
Environment Preservation :
The Ministry of public works is using one of the best constructional technologies in order to protect the marine
environment by following the standards, systems and charts that are approved by Environment Public Authority. Also a
complete environment study is achieved under the observation of Environment Public Authority. Including establishing
a project of complete compensating coral reefs in the area and shrimp and marine living creature’s habitat. In addition
to building these habitants for the living creatures and to transferring them to their new habitat.
In which the marine living creatures are observed in order to make sure of their adaptation with the new environment.
The observation operation shall be under a program which is managed by the Environment Public Authority. Also by
using surveying system by diving periodically to observe any changes and to make sure of availability of the living
creatures.
An information system is available to manage the environment data (EDMIS) in this project .The information system
works through the available observation environment data and a constant contact with the concerned authorities.
Whereas the reports should be submitted to the Environment Public Authority to be reviewed periodically and to set
recommendations about it.
General statistics of the project :
(36.14) km (the marine bridge 27.5 km, the land bridge 8.6 km). Total Length
Total traffic lanes (6), the required speed is (120) km per hour and 2 safety sides. Road
(1,052) pieces of precast concrete launch. The Upper Structure
