Mubarak AL-Kabeer marine port – first phase – first part :
The road , The bridge and Soil Treatment.
Commencement date: August 2007.
The percentage of achievement till December 2014 78.2%.
The location Boubyan Island.
The purpose of this project is to construct a road to connect the port of the eastern side of the island to AL-Sabiya
(Land) in a length of approximately (26) km. In addition to a bridge that connects the island to AL-Sabiya in a length of
approximately (1.5) km of AL-Sabiya creek.
The components of the project :
A double road with three traffic lanes for each direction in a length of (26) km approximately that connects the marine
port to the main land (AL-Sabiya).
A bridge of the road through AL-Sabiya creek in a length of (1.5) km.
A road of Iron track in a length of (21) km.
A bridge of Iron track through Al-Sabiya creek in a length of ( 4 ) km.
Geotechnical works.
Topographic survey works.
Ordance survey.
Bathometric survey.
Construction of a net barrier in the northern side of the iron track in order to protect the natural preservation of the
island.
An Iron bridge in a length of (1) km to transfer the equipment's and the materials to of the island during the
implementation.
Experimental piling works of the burial.
Environment studies of different works inside the project.

Ongoing projects
