Road Engineering Affairs Sector

The Road Engineering Affairs Sector undertakes preparing designs and supervising the implementation of roads, services, and bridges and the maintenance of highways and bridges. It also prepares the periodic and final evaluation of the performance level of contractors of implemented work, and notifies the Planning and Follow-up Office with the evaluation results. In addition, it Follows-up project workflows and compares them to the approved schedules, and prepares the related periodic reports. The sector is responsible for coordinating with the competent entities in solving project-designing issues during the implementation phases. Furthermore, it prepares the different engineering designs and studies for rainwater drainage networks, sewerage, and rainwater channel dams. It also evaluates the existing bridges and suggests the necessary repairs or enhancements in coordination with the competent entities.
