Safety procedures achievements and ongoing goals in the Government center for testing,
quality control and research during 2015
Design and adoption of measurement of work performance indicators, which are the number of on-site visits, the number of site visits to
remote areas, the number of evictions, and the weekly plan.
New KPI work performance measurement indicators have been added, which are the number of site visits scanning, plans, and replacing
the weekly plan with the monthly plan. In addition to ongoing development of performance measurement indicators to suit the needs of the
labor.
Preparing and designing the instruction manual for the safety procedures, and 5 procedures have been adopted from it:
Procedural steps for attending the primary/final receipt committees
Preparation steps for a Nonconformity report
Designing a checklist for the display screens in the ministry’s building.
Designing 3 models to enforce the law of environment protection act No.42 of 2014, especially Act (19) that concerns the safety of the workers
and facilities, they have been adopted and distributed among all of the ministry’s sectors.
Design and preparation of the Training Matrix, which includes the important programs for the development of the department’s employees and
improve their performance, and develop it on an annual basis while ensuring that these programs are certified and licensed by the global
safety organizations.
Design a training system to train the staff of the ministry, laboratory technicians, and applied college students continuously, to raise the
efficiency of safety and health awareness among the professional staff of the ministry and the coaching staff of the projects, for a total training
hours of= 52.5 hours for 2015
Participation in the “Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Company of Kuwait’s eighth annual for the outstanding performance in the field
of Health, Safety and Environment” Award, which has been honored and awarded in the award ceremony that was held in the Hyatt Regency
Hotel on 04/30/2015.
In process of implementing the shared observations concerning the placebo eviction of the ministry’s building in cooperation with the General
Fire Department and Civil Defense.
Underway the coordination to raise the readiness for the evacuation of the main building for the maintenance of the object in Shuwaikh area,
in coordination with the maintenance and operation contract in preparation for the evacuation placebo.
Coordination with the General Fire Directorate under a memorandum of understanding to activate the joint role to ensure the safety of existing
buildings and contracts under execution, and working groups were formed for field trips as a prelude to permit all ministry buildings.
The comprehensive report has been prepared to raise the ministry’s readiness for all the ministry on (20/5/2015) that concerns the hazards
that could face the ministry.
The general specifications folder for the buildings and engineering works for the year of 1990 has been revised, Act No. (3.7.3) regarding the
site’s preparation (equipment and safety tools), and has been updated to match the British Standards accredited by the ministry on 9/9/2015.
Participating in the comprehensive training exercise on 10/12/2015 that has been undertaken by the General Fire Directorate with the
government agencies.
Total number of visits regarding safety procedures = 1120 visits (on-site visit for the ministry’s projects + visits to the organization of the
ministry’s building and all its organized units).
The placebo evacuation for the ministry’s projects have been activated. The total number of evacuation operations that have been
activated in the projects contracts for 2015 is 14 evacuations.
The total reported incidents for the year 2015 = 71 incidents.
