The Most Important Sanitary Projects :
(Presented)
One of Ministry of Public Works’ future projects that aims to using treated wastewater to cover a large part of local needs in
different types of agriculture, afforestation and greening in highways.
The Beautification and Greenery within Area (D) and their associated transmission lines project :
The project is divided into two parts:
1-The first part: construction, operation and maintenance of treated
water network and tanks - phase (D1), and it consists of:
Construction of tri-treated water network of ductile iron with a diameter of
(250) mm to (1200) mm.
The total length is (100) mm, approximately, with a controlling line (FOC).
Construction of tanks, and a pumping substation for the purpose of
landscaping. The number of tanks will be (16) between the south of Sixth
Ring road to the north of Jamal Abd-Al-Nasser road. Also, from the east of
Al-Ghazali road to the west of Al-Jahra.
Construction of pumping station and a main pumping line made of ductile iron and its related extensions in order to transfer the
tri-treated water to pumping substation tanks that have higher level than the level of controlling center that is located in
Sulaibiah (DMC) in order to transfer treated water to another distribution line that is made of ductile iron and its extensions to
the rest of the low locations to maintain a normal flow.
The implementation of a new pumping station of quadrilateral-treated water with a total capacity of (60) Mw to Al-Abdely farms.
It will be joined with the current lines, mechanic and electricity works, the ( necessary) controlling line and the related buildings
in order to separate the water that is pumped to Al-Abdely farms from the current pumping system.
Construction of two ground concrete tanks with a capacity of (2170) meters in order to increase the stored water at (DMC) in
order to multiply from (340) thousand meters to (680) thousand meters.
Construction of a new controlling building with the Sub-buildings inside the (DMC) .
Construction of a new concrete wall at the location that includes the expansion that is added lately to the (DMC) by Kuwait
Municipality. In addition to establishing a sanitation system and landscaping inside the borderlines of the project.
2- The second Part :
The treated water transport line from the DMC to the Wafra pumping station – Phase D3 – and its affiliated works, is in
the implementing stages .
