The renewal of networks and connectivity for new areas:

A program for the development and renewal of public sewage network in the old residential areas has been set up,

divided into (

) stages to make the necessary renovations.

have been completed successfully .

is currently being implemented.

stages are in pre-implementation stages.

Reducing the number of pumping and lifting stations:

-Reducing lifting and pumping stations to 5 giant stations as a result of the current and expected increased wastewater

amounts, and as a result of the growing population and the development of civilization, replacement of the old

networks with new ones featuring large diameters, deep levels and distinct architectural views is necessary.

The most important pumping stations:

1-Al-Riqae pumping station

: Serves Al-Asima and a part of the sewage water at Al-Farwaniya governorates.

2-Al-Ardiya pumping station

: It receives the water from Al-Riqae station and pumps it to Al-Sulaibiya treatment plant

3-Al-Egeela pumping station

: It serves Al-Ahmedi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates.

4-Mishrif pumping station

: Serves Hawalli governorate.

5-Al-Jahra pumping station

: Serves Al-Jahraa governorate.

The most important main treatment plants in Kuwait:

1-Al-Sulaibiya treatment plant

: The largest treatment plant in the world that uses reverse osmosis (RO) to produce

quad-treated water.

2-Al-Riga treatment plant

: Produces tertiary-treated water.

3-Om Al-Heman treatment plant

: Produces tertiary-treated water.

4-Al-Wafra treatment plant:

Produces tertiary-treated water.

5-Subah AL-Ahmed and Khairan treatment plants:

Produces tertiary-treated water.
