Renewal of sewerage networks in Kuwait’s residential areas
In the past ten years, the Ministry of Public Works has completed several sewerage renewal and efficacy improvement projects
for the residential areas in Kuwait, to improve its ability to meet the raise of population growth and urbanization, and that is by
replacing the corroded pipelines with new world-class pipes that are resistant to corrosion, and replacing the old manholes with
new ones covered by G.R.P material while improving and increasing the diameters and re-installation of household cables. The
areas that will be under this development in several phases (which some of them have already been completed) are:
1- Phase 4: Salmiya – Rumaithiya.
2- Phase 6: Khaitan.
3- Phase 7: salwa – Subahiya – Fahaheel – Mangaf – Fentas – Abo Hlefa – Mahbola.
4- Phase 8: Bnaid Al-Gar – Al-Sor street.
5- Phase 9: Mishrif – Sabah Al-Salem.
6- Phase 10: Bayan – Jabriya.
Utilizing treated water in landscaping and afforestation
From the projects that the Ministry of Public Works has completed by utilizing treated water in landscaping and afforestation:
1- The creation of treated water lines for irrigation to the afforestation area in Cairo street and a part of the Third Ring road –
Phase (B1)
2- The creation of treated water lines for irrigation to the afforestation area in Cairo street and a part of the Third Ring road –
Phase (B11)
3- The creation of a treated water distribution network for Al-Wafra farms
4- Construction, completion and maintenance of the pumping stations (DMC) in both Kabd and Wafra
5- Construction, completion and maintenance of the treated water’s transport lines from the DMC to Al-Wafra farms
