- Projects - The most important Future projects
The Most Important Sanitary Projects:
Some of the Ministry of Public Works future projects that aims towards raising the efficiency of sewerage network, improving its
capability to keep up with rising rates of population growth and constructional expansion by exchanging corrosive pipes with
new pipes that have global standards and specifications and are corrosion-resistant. Also, exchanging old manholes with new
padded pipes with G.R.P (Glass fiber Reinforced Plastic Roofing System). In addition to improving and increasing the
inclination and diameters, and the reassembling of household connections:
Execution of infrastructure works in the State of Kuwait - phase (15) for Gharnata, Al-Andalus, and Sabah Al-Nasser):
This project aims to exchange the sewerage net in Gharnata, Al-Andalus and Sabah Al-Nasser that are broken with a new
global-standard quality network. In addition to the construction of new manholes, and improving the efficiency of roads,
rainwater drainage network, street lights and telephone networks.
The project is divided into two parts:
1- The first part: (executing- setting up) the infrastructure works of Al-Andalus – the contract has been signed.
-The total length of the lines are approximately (81) km.
-The number of manholes are approximately (2700).
2- The second part: Infrastructure implementation of Garnata and Sabah Al-Nasser - the contract has been signed.
-The total length of the lines are approximately (39) km.
-The number of manholes are approximately (1450).
Implementation of infrastructure in the state of Kuwait phase (11) of (Al-Surra, Qurtuba, A-Yarmouk):
The project is divided into (4) parts:
1- The first part is building up the main line of sanitation between Al-Surrah and Al-Rigae - the contract has been signed.
This project aims to building up a new main line of waste water on the south side of the Fourth Ring road ( Al-surrah ) to the
pumping station in Al-Rigae, and joining the manhole N1.4 to the pumping station (A7) in order to steer the waste water flow
that are stocked in the new main line to the entrance of the pumping station (A7) . Also, building future joining points of the
main line in the north side of the Fourth Ring road.
2-The second part: execution of infrastructure works in Al-Yarmouk.
3- the third part : execution of infrastructure works in Qurtuba.
4- the fourth part : execution of infrastructure works in Al-Surra.
The other parts will start after the completion of the first part.
Supplying operation and maintenance of flow devices of different areas in the State of Kuwait project:
The project consists of supplying, assembling, operating and maintenance of a number of flow measurement devices for the six
provinces in the State of Kuwait. A comprehensive cadastral survey must be done in order to determine the places of flow
measurement devices that will be assembled on the main sanitation line. For the purpose of evaluating the quality of sanitation
and controlling the level of flow of the lines and constant monitoring of the sanitation network in order to decrease the rate
of pollution and floods accidents .
