- Projects - The most important ongoing projects
The renovation works of the sanitary network project stage twelve
Hadiya and Riqqa areas
The project aims to improve the sewerage network efficiency and replacing corroded lines with new world-class, corrosion-
resistance pipes, and replace the old manholes with new ones that are lined with improved and increased tendencies and
diameters and re-installation of household connections.
The project consists of:
• The renovation works of the sanitary network for 6 blocks in Riqqa (from block 1 to 7), and 4 blocks in Hadiya (from block 1
to 4) on about 74 kilometers of HDPE pipes with diameters from 200 mm to 400 mm, and the replacement of approximately
2300 manholes with the installation of household connections.
1- Drilling and reclamation of high-density polyethylene pipes (HDPE) of different sizes and depths which does not exceed 6
meters as follows:
2- Removing 60,304 meters of the current sanitary pipes and 2,137 manholes.
3- Supplying, extending and testing the HDPE pipes of different sizes and depths which does not exceed 6 meters as follows:
4- Supplying and extending 28,739 meters of the Geo-textile cloth to wrap the gravel layer around the pipes.
5- Installation of about 2,281 manholes with their ductile-metallic covers and the rear elevations as required along the sanitary
sewer lines.
6- Removing the current household connections and installing new ones along with new inspection manholes and low-depth
manholes.
7- CCTV works, and pipes testing and receipt works.
8- Deviation testing of HDPE pipelines, which were installed under the project works and modifying manholes levels in Riqqa
block 1.
• Telephone network works, which includes supplying and installing pipes of 103,500 meters long and a diameter of 50 mm
(PVC pipes) and the special inspection manholes.
1- The removal of 330 manholes and constructing 263 new ones.
2- The removal of 2100 hand holes, and creating 2300 new ones
• Roads lighting works that includes the supplying and installation of 831 light poles in Hadiya, and 15411 in Riqqa, with
the installation of their lighting cables and inspection chambers.
