The Highway network in the State of Kuwait

Chapter 3 – Road Networks

The Highway network is divided into three kinds of roads:

First : The Ring Roads:

Is a network of highways based in Kuwait City and intersect with radial roads and main highways, and it is divided

as follows :

A ring road surrounding the city of Kuwait that has free junctions with radial and main roads

that pass through it.

Ring road

Starts from the intersection with the Arabian Gulf Street to the east and extends westward

intersecting (free junctions with flyovers), respectively, with each of the roads of independence

- Cairo - Damascus - Riyadh - Al-Jahra - and ends with Gamal Abdel Nasser Street.

nd

Ring road

Starts from the intersection with the Arabian Gulf Street to the east and extends to the west of

the industrial area until Muhammad bin Qasim road, intersecting (free junctions with flyovers),

respectively, with each of the roads of independence - Cairo - Damascus - Riyadh - Airport.

rd

Ring road

Starts east from its intersection with the Fahaheel highway and extends westward to Gamal

Abdel Nasser road, intersecting (free junctions with flyovers and tunnels and multi-level

intersections), respectively, with each of the roads of Tunisia - Morocco - Damascus - Riyadh -

Muhammad Bin Qasim – Al-Edam Hospital Roundabout.

Ring road

Starts east from its intersection with the Fahaheel highway and extends westward to the Ardiya

area until it joins with the Sixth Ring Road and the road leading to the Doha area through

intersecting (intersections take different forms depending on traffic and land conditions from

free intersections, flyovers, tunnels and multi-level intersections), respectively, with each of the

roads of Custodian of the Two Mosques - Damascus - King Faisal - Ghazali - Muhammad bin

Qasim.

Ring road

Starts east of Masila roundabout and extends west to join with the Seventh Ring Road and

Doha Expressway and continue until the north of Mutla area where it ends at its intersection

with the Sixth Al-Jahra / Subiya road through intersecting (intersections take different forms

depending on traffic and land conditions from free intersections, flyovers, tunnels and multi-

level intersections), respectively, with each of the roads of Custodian of the Two Mosques -

Fahaheel - Airport - Ghazali.

Ring road

Starts east from the intersection of Fahaheel and extends from the west with Commercial

Fintas area, then intersecting with the Custodian of the Two Mosques road - Western Aqeelah

- then Mugwa, then the external highway and Sulaibiya, eventually joining with the Fifth and

Sixth Ring Roads and Al-Jahra.
