The Ministry of Public works has huge burdens that include a wide network maintenance of roads, streets, ground
sidewalks, and squares all over the country through the adoption of scientific methods in preparation for the
maintenance of the road network and all its components and make the necessary assessment using the latest
equipment, and then set up programs of priorities in accordance with the importance of the location and the required
speed to complete the work in all the provinces.
It also implement the contracts of internal road maintenance in the areas and highways and all bridges and footbridges,
and the implementation and maintenance of roads and street services, both indicative signs or traffic signs or landlines
or central islands, as well as all matters related to the implementation and maintenance of government buildings and
small construction works, in addition to rainwater drainage and sewer networks maintenance, and gravity water lines
sewage network which is located outside the main and secondary stations and so after making the necessary
coordination with other involved agencies.
Maintenance Projects goals:
Ensure the network maintenance continuity of roads and highways and their extensions of sidewalks, rainwater
sewage network, exits of the sea, and so on, and drainage network and government buildings throughout the State of
Kuwait, in order to prolong its useful life, and in order to be usable well and on an ongoing basis.
