Study , Design and supervision Agreement for
Construction of Regional Road South Part -Phase I
The project aims to:
Connecting the country’s north with its east
and west and south as well as connecting
the new northern and southern residential
cities with the highways and regional roads
according the third structural plan’s
recommendations in line with the expected
future population and traffic growth in 2030.
Phase 1 also aims to create a new highway
with the global standards that starts from
Nuwaisib borders until the future
intersection in the current Salmi road with a
length of approximately 127km which
includes 14 intersections and 2 camel
crossings.
Number of pass ways intersecting with the
highway bridges: 22.
Number of pass ways intersecting with the
rail roads of the GCC: 3 .
The current status :
 Underway paying the 16th batch to the
consultant which is about the provision
of an evaluation report for the bids.
