) The Maintenance
A brief about the maintenance works
The Ministry of Public Works maintains an extensive network of roads, streets and ground sidewalks and squares all over the
country through the adoption of scientific methods in their maintenance of the road network and all its components, and make
the necessary assessment using the latest equipment and then set up programs of priorities according to the importance of the
site preparation and the speed needed to complete the work in all the provinces. It also undertakes the maintenance of internal
roads in the areas, all bridges, pedestrian bridges and highways, as well as the maintenance of roads and streets services,
whether from guiding plates or traffic signs or floor lines, as well as everything related to the maintenance of government
buildings and the implementation of small construction works, storm drainage, sewerage and gravity lines for wastewater
which are located outside the main and secondary stations, and that is after making the necessary coordination with other
concerned parties.
The objectives of maintenance projects:
Ensure the sustainability of the maintenance works of the road network, highways and their accessories of sidewalks,
rainwater sewage network, and exits to the sea and so on, and drainage network and government buildings throughout the
State of Kuwait, in order to prolong its life span, and in order to be usable well on an ongoing basis.
The maintenance projects will begin after the end of the proposed maintenance period for the sanitary and roads engineering
projects. It is of a modular and periodical nature in which the maintenance projects are implemented (contracts) as soon as the
similar (contract) project is done from.
The types of maintenance projects:
Maintenance of the sewerage network in all parts of the State of Kuwait.
Maintenance of government buildings throughout the State of Kuwait.
Maintenance of roads:
1. Highway Maintenance and include:
- General maintenance of the highway network in Kuwait projects.
- Urgent maintenance, emergency and miscellaneous highways projects in Kuwait.
- Tile work projects for the highway network.
2. Road maintenance nationwide and include:
- Road and squares maintenance projects in the six provinces of the country.
- Urgent maintenance, emergency and miscellaneous highways projects in the six provinces of the country
- Tile work projects in the six provinces in the State.
3. Maintenance projects (central contracts) and include:
- Planning and maintenance contracts for ground traffic signs in Kuwait.
- Removal of sand from roads contracts in the various provinces of the country.
- Cleaning contracts and television camera from the inside to the contents of the rainwater sewage network from the sewers
and pipes and so on.
- Services maintenance contracts and roads and institutions, ministries and other yards in the state in the various provinces.
- Maintenance contracts for the indicative panels and the net walls in Kuwait for.
- General maintenance and construction contracts for external and border roads in the northern region of the State of Kuwait
and the southern region.
- General maintenance contracts and the construction of roads and agricultural areas of the two regions, North and South
of the State of Kuwait.
-Maintenance contracts and replacement and renovation of sewer and rainwater lines in the State of Kuwait.
