The Most Important Future Road Projects:
Highway network development projects:
The Fourth Ring Highway - the first group:
It aims to raise the capacity of the existing road and reduce traffic density and reduce traffic accidents and upgrade levels
safety through the re-establishment of 7-4 km from the fourth ring road (beginning from the roundabout of the United Nations
down to the intersection of airport road)
And the project contains intersection of hospital road, and modification of the intersections of Muhammad Bin Qasim and Al
Ghazali Road, Airport Road and a link to a new bridge between Al Ray and the industrial zone in Al Shuwaikh, In addition to
the transfer of services, street lighting and a bridge.
Fourth Ring highway - Group B:
Include increasing the capacity of the road and upgrade of security levels to include tests of soil and additional acts of
topographical surveying and review and update the topographical surveying and update the cadastral services and review and
update the design work for roads and services.
The establishment and maintenance of the development of Al Saleebiyah and Kabd highway:
Includes the construction of rain water line to the site (b). It is to drain water from the proposed underground reservoir. This
tank will be designed and created by the public Authority for housing Welfare in order to dump the water network for Abdullah
Al-Mubarak West residential zone.
The scope of works covers the following: -
A detailed survey of the area required to complete the proposed rain water design.
Hydraulic detailed model through the use of business intelligence software for the rainwater harvesting.
Drawings and tender documents for the proposed works of rainwater processing.
The establishment and maintenance of the development along the ring road 6.5:
The project includes Kabd road, Al Saleebiyah road and the extension of the ring road 6.5 surrounding the housing
development for Abd Allah Al Mubarak West residential zone, It aims to:
Develop the best possible route for the existing and proposed roads that connect all possible entrances of industrial and
residential zones.
Implementation of traffic and engineering studies related to economic safety, environmental and other important
studies of the proposed routes.
Implementation of the detailed and the theoretical engineering design of the highways, bridges and infrastructure works.
Updating the existing bridges on the road network in Kuwait:
It aims to examine, evaluate and update the existing bridges due to the passing of time since the establishment and exposure
worn out as a result of the traffic and the weather and time, and the updating works include: expansion joints, barriers concrete
and exterior finishes .....
The project is divided into three groups:
• The first group: includes bridges such as Al Jahra in addition to Boubyan Bridge (24 Bridges).
• The second group includes bridges in the capital and the provinces of Al Farwaniya (36 Bridges).
• The third group includes bridges in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, Hawally and Al Ahmadi (133 bridges).
