Introduction

Mohammed, peace be upon him and his family and companions.
We are pleased to provide the statistical manual for the Ministry of Public Works’
projects '' second version '' for 2014, in line with the wise guidance from the presence
of His Highness the Emir and the Crown Prince may God protect them from all harm,
to the permanent quest to develop working methods and update it to shorten time,
save effort, upgrade the level of technical and administrative work and improve
performance.
Out of concern for the provision of information and statistics, and to raise the level of
services that keep pace with the wheel of development and creativity to take
advantage of the data and to become a role model, and this is what prompted us to
issue this guide which we hope to be a distinct step in this regard.
The statistical manual is a mirror that reflects the ministry’s works, highlights its
achievements throughout the year, presents and analysis of the most important current
and future projects, variety of statistics on the executive position of the ministry
throughout the year, the projects that have been signed, a statement of the
beneficiaries’ evolution from the projects undertaken by the ministry to implement,
and also contains the display and analysis of the periodic maintenance work of the
road network and its branches, sewage and rainwater networks, maintenance of all
parts of the state buildings, display of the work and achievements of the government
center for tests and quality control and research of checks and tests and field visits. It
also contains data and statistics to illustrate the extent of the infrastructure
development of the State of Kuwait from road networks, sewage networks, pumping
and purification and lifting stations, and statistics about the treated sewage water
quantities and its uses. The manual also includes the clarification of the ministry’s
developmental plans, various information systems technology development plans, and
administrative development as well as the Special Administrative information for the
ministry’s staff and the development of workforce as well as the financial statements
for the various doors of the ministry's budget.
