يعـد التخطيـط القاعـدة التـي تحـدد طريـق السـير لتحقيـق التنمية حيث
يتولــى قطــاع التخطيــط والتنميــة إعــداد ومتابعــة تنفيــذ خطــة التنميــة
الســنوية للــوزارة والخطــة الإنمائيــة الخمســية وبرنامــج عمــل الحكومــة،
وذلــك بالتنســيق مــع القطاعــات الفنيــة بالــوزارة والأمانــة العامــة للمجلــس
الأعلــى للتخطيــط والتنميــة و مــن خــال تلــك الخطــط نرســم المســتقبل،
وهــو مــا جعــل قطــاع التخطيــط والتنميــة يضــع بيــن أيديكــم نشــرة
المشـاريع المسـتقبلية لـوزارة الأشـغال العامـة وجعلهـا متاحـة علـى الموقع
الإلكترونــي للــوزارة .

development. the Planning and Development Department prepares
and follows up the implementation of the annual development plan,
the five years development plan and the government works program
by coordinating with all the technical departments in the ministry
and the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD)
