At August 8, 2017, the Ministry of Public Works gave Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Al Ahmadi governor, a visual presentation of the developmental ongoing and future projects at Al-Ahmadi Governorate. The presentation was at the presence of Eng. Awatef Al-Ghoneim, undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works; Eng. Abdul Mohsen Al-Enazi, assistant undersecretary for the Sanitary Engineering Sector; Eng.Mohamed Ben Nakhi, assistant undersecretary for Maintenance Engineering Sector; Eng. Ghalib Al-Shamari, assistant undersecretary of Construction Project Sector; Eng. Eman Al Omar, manager of Planning Department; Eng.Suha Ashkanani, director of the Road Design Department; Eng. Ayman Al-Mousawi, director of the Design Department in the Construction Projects Administration; and the engineers of the ministry.
Eng. Awatef Al-Ghoneim thanked Al Ahmadi Governor for the invitation and for providing an opportunity to present the projects. She stated that the ministry had 23 projects in the governorate at different stages, including:
Public Authority of Civil Information Headquarters at South Sabahiya (In progress currently).
Al-Tarbeya Private Schools Complex that will be implemented in Al-Aqilah district for students with special needs (both boys and girls), will include all disabilities, and will be comparable to global centers.
Renewal of sanitary sewerage systems in Hadiya and Riqqa areas.
The road connecting the Port of Zor with Al-Wafra.
The road connecting Abdullah Port with Al-Wafra.
Roads connecting Sabah Al-Ahmad’s City and Al-Khairan residential City.
Development and improvement of the Seventh Ring Road Directly to Salmi Road without traffic lights.
Construction, fulfillment and development of the roads and intersections on Al-Mokawa Road to serve the new terminal building at Kuwait International Airport.
At the end of the meeting, Al Ahmadi Governor thanked the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works and her companions for the presentation, stressing the importance of communication and continuous coordination between different state sectors, which will bring benefit to the citizens and residents of the State of Kuwait.
